Kid’s Indian Patriotic crafts and activities

15th August is our independence day and a national holiday of India. The holiday is observed throughout India with flag-hoisting ceremonies, parades and cultural events like patriotic songs, dances and speeches on the Independence day and the freedom fighters of India.

Every school and colleges organize many patriotic activities. Children also learn the importance of independence day in preschools with patriotic crafts and activities.

Indian Flag - Paper Craft - Draw a flag on a paper and give your kids to fill the colors on it. Stick it with drinking straw.

Building blocks printed flag - Find the rectangle shaped block from building blocks and give it to your kids to color and print like Indian flag.

Coin printed flag - Print 10 paise and 20 paise coin of Indian currency. With these coins, one gets an opportunity to explain kids the antic currency and its value in past days. Kids can find this activity very interesting.

Tricolor Tree Leaves - Find a large sized tree leaves and color them like our Indian flag.

Tricolor flag from food pulses - Collect various pulses like chickpeas, red lentils, green lentils and rice from your kitchen. Give all these pulses to your kids and help them to create an Indian flag.

Indian Flag using colorful stones - Give colorful stones to your kids and suggest them to create an Indian flag using the tricolor stones.

Tricolor Indian Flag using vegetables - Cut the carrot, radish and capsicum in a thick slice. Arrange all the slices on a toothpick or a plastic spoon.
